DECEMBER 2009. Transport-forwarding company TIS Group took part in the interview of the daily business newspaper RBK daily about the situation on the Russian logistics market.
On the question of RBK daily, if the reduction of the import goods volume caused the stronger competition between the logistics companies, the Head of Marketing and Sales Department of TIS Group Ekaterina Grechukhina answered the following:
There is no doubt that the financial economical crisis affected the sector of freight forwarding services also. Due to the reduction of the level of investments, the level of construction of new objects and the volume of imported goods to Russia, including equipment and material, reduced. Thereby we can confirm that there was the general reduction of the amount of orders that led to the stronger competition between the new and old-established forwarding companies.
